better than the 05 recently had in a gevrey AR vertical — 7 years ago
The dog abides when this stuff comes out. Drank this next to the Arnot Roberts Trout Gulch of the same vintage (AR was on its 2nd day). This was a medium shimmering yellow color, compared to the pale yellow, slightly green tinged AR. It is silkier and longer on the palate, with notes of lemon curd, oily grapefruit rind. A little more finesse and power, a little less bright acidity. I give this version of the trout the slight edge tonight but they are both great and have different functions in the lineup — 9 years ago
Pretty darn good. Not sure how it's "intense" but I'll happily have another glass. Or bottle. — 9 years ago

Not as delicate or graceful as I was expecting or have enjoyed in previous ar pe pe bottles — 8 years ago
A weighty and earth-laden wine that ran the gambit. I was taken back by the texture and sense of mineral the wine had. Complex and cerebral — 9 years ago
I'm sold on Location's wine. This blend isn't super dry (my preference) but it's not sweet either (no thanks). Will be buying more from them. — 10 years ago
A pretty golden straw color with tiny, fine bubbles and an energetic mousse. The aromas are fresh and so delightful. A slight bit of peaches and pears up top with chalk saying a quick hello. Soft vanilla with a light dusting of cinnamon. Lemon zest with a touch of melon.
This is a really nice, elegant Blanc de Blancs. Truly speaks to the terroir of Chouilly. There’s a bite here typical of the low dosage. Grand Cru fruit and it definitely shows. Minerality and freshness for days.
Keeps developing and growing in the glass over time. More and more refinement and character as time passes. Baked bread and outstanding citrus flavors in the mouth. There’s a nice bit of earth here as well. A fine champagne that over delivers. — 4 years ago
Super tasty! Loooong finish with minerals and spice and complexity, including fruit. Worked well with NYE dinner and held up with red meat and caviar. — 5 years ago
Bright mid crimson in colour. A lovely perfume as you would expect from a top Tasmanian Pinot with 10 years of age. Interesting to compare this to the 2009 Ata Rangi I had a week ago. The AR was more Burgundian and a tad more enjoyable. Following night for the Freycinet - dried cherries and “old lady’s talcum powder” on the nose. Supple mouth feel. Medium plus intensity. — 7 years ago

Small group for this month's WTF wine meet up, so why not hit up Fort Worth's best BYOB?
I didn't know AR made a cab, but I am very much happy to have found out they did. What a lovely change up from the fruit bombs out of Napa. This could pass for a young high quality Bordeaux producer. No leather notes, but I wasn't hit in the face with every fruit on the color spectrum. Decadent blackberries wrapped in clove, and rhubarb pie. Beautiful texture on the palate. Plums, and black licorice in the mid palate but the finish has a sweet french bread, black cherry cola note. Thanks Jose! — 9 years ago
