Laboro Disubbidiente Per Terra Madre Vino Rosso Barolo Nebbiolo 2012

Declassified Barolo riserva. Certainly hits all the classic notes. Floral and forest floor aromatics and bright acidity accent a powerful red berry core — 16 days ago

Pajarito Del Amor Grenache 2016

Served blind, of course. Just like the other wines tonite.
Very spicy, herbal and savoury..
Thought this could be a Christophe Baron wine… 🫣

Tenuta Iuzzolini

Madre Goccia Crotone Greco Chardonnay 2022

Subtle sweetness on a dry white was unexpected of a southern Italian white - good thing I didn’t have to try this blind, I’d have guessed something Alsatian. That said, it was great. — 4 months ago

Au Bon Climat

Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection Sierra Madre Vineyard Chardonnay 2005

Stunningly complex, mesmerising and fantastic.
Full of tertiary notes: Figs, hazelnuts, stemmed ginger, dried lemon peel, honey. Loads of caramel, baking spices, vanilla and tonka beans. Quite oxidative almost sherry like. Super bright acidity, wonderful balance and structure, a super lush and creamy finish.

Bedrock Wine Co.

Areio e Vento e Amor Evangelho Vineyard Red Blend 2022

Really fantastic with many years to become more refined. The 2022 Areio from Bedrock’s Evangelho vineyard is deep and dark and full of violet on the nose and light pinkish purple in the glass. It’s incredibly smooth then there’s a bite of red berry and a finish of leather and baking spice as you work through its structure. — 3 months ago

Germano Ettore

Della Madre Superiore Barbera d'Alba 2020

Dark ruby in color with a purplish hue.

Very fruity on nose with red and black fruits, wood, earth, tobacco and chocolates.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with cooked cherries, blueberries, plums, tobacco leaf, light oak, milk chocolates and spices.

Spicy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a nice and easy drinking Barbera from Piedmont. Fruit forward and tangy.

Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food. The high alcohol is not noticeable at this point.

100% Barbera grapes from 20 year old vines were grown at 1,000 feet of elevation. Aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels.

15% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$25.
