Sweet but not cloying. Delightful on its own, or in a fancy negroni. Probably the best vermouth I’ve had (though I am not an aficionado!) — 4 years ago
I’ll admit it: I’m not a pinot aficionado. However, this bottle is changing my attitude towards the varietal. — 6 years ago
Fabulous Shiraz—extremely drinkable. — 7 years ago
Wasn’t expecting such a big Chardonnay - this is full throttle! (And it impressed the resident Chardonnay aficionado, aka my better half). Stone fruits, peach nectar, butterscotch, a touch of vanilla, citrus and minerals on the finish. Creamy texture with very decent acid. Long finish. Beautiful. Thanks for this bad ass in a glass @Martin G Rivard — 8 years ago

Not a white wine aficionado but this Sicilian white is excellent w/med body and flavor full with citrus overtures… — a year ago
Quickly becoming my favorite! Bold and flavorful with a peppery finish, great with steak. I may be biased as a bourbon aficionado, but the whiskey barrel aging definitely adds something special. Top notch! — 3 years ago
This plays a well balanced role. Enough fruit intensity to appeal to New World drinkers and the hint of death and higher acid that might work for a Bordeaux aficionado. — 4 years ago
Not a whiskey aficionado but love this one. Smooth, moderate caramel and vanilla, with small hint of smoke. Something that I would buy over and over again. — 6 years ago

Lovely. Great price. Will drink again. — 8 years ago
A luscious Vino Nobile the all the merits attributed by the proclaimed experts…big flavor dark berries smooth balanced soft tannins and the famous yada yada yada of the merely opinionated wine aficionado/drinker. Drink again! — 4 years ago
2018 open December 2021. This is a solid (a very solid, indeed!) Willamette Pinot. Nothing like this comes out of Burgundy, and the French are poorer for it. Raspberries and nettles on the nose, with bright red fruit on the front of the palate. The fruit immediately surrenders to a dense tannic structure. Slightly sour/mineral finish. It leaves a puckery aftertaste that I find a little off putting.
However, when it comes to tannins, this wine punches way above its weight. This is a tipple you can serve to your Cab bigot friends — but don’t show them the bottle! Tell them that it’s an interesting Red Mountain Cab that you found in Washington State. See how long you can fool them. On the other hand, if you’re a Pinot aficionado, this wine may just be a little too heavy for your tastes. Personally, I like my Pinots to be a little more delicate. I’m giving this a 9.0, because it’s a very good wine, But it’s a little rough around the edges. I suspect it will age quite well, though. — 5 years ago
Enjoying some White Bordeaux lately. Previous notes from 10 July, a few months ago still apply. A whiff of passion fruit on this occasion. A creamy textural palate with a touch of pineapple juice on the 2nd night Barbara thought. Back Story: Andre Lurton who bought this property in 1965 is an aficionado of Sauvignon Blanc, and Semillon is very much in the minority in this blend. Usually 85/15. Great match with fresh prawns. One of the 1001 wines. — 6 years ago
Not a huge whiskey aficionado but this was fantastic! Very smooth and not very sweet. — 8 years ago
