This plays a well balanced role. Enough fruit intensity to appeal to New World drinkers and the hint of death and higher acid that might work for a Bordeaux aficionado. — 2 years ago
2018 open December 2021. This is a solid (a very solid, indeed!) Willamette Pinot. Nothing like this comes out of Burgundy, and the French are poorer for it. Raspberries and nettles on the nose, with bright red fruit on the front of the palate. The fruit immediately surrenders to a dense tannic structure. Slightly sour/mineral finish. It leaves a puckery aftertaste that I find a little off putting.
However, when it comes to tannins, this wine punches way above its weight. This is a tipple you can serve to your Cab bigot friends — but don’t show them the bottle! Tell them that it’s an interesting Red Mountain Cab that you found in Washington State. See how long you can fool them. On the other hand, if you’re a Pinot aficionado, this wine may just be a little too heavy for your tastes. Personally, I like my Pinots to be a little more delicate. I’m giving this a 9.0, because it’s a very good wine, But it’s a little rough around the edges. I suspect it will age quite well, though. — 3 years ago
Quickly becoming my favorite! Bold and flavorful with a peppery finish, great with steak. I may be biased as a bourbon aficionado, but the whiskey barrel aging definitely adds something special. Top notch! — 2 years ago
Its the Extra Anejo,
Immediately tasted the Artificial sweeteners. It’s like having a Austin Hope or Caymus after tasting a Sassicia or Dominus
Half price so worth the $50.00, but don’t confuse it with real tequila. Don’t get fooled by website description

Not a whiskey aficionado but love this one. Smooth, moderate caramel and vanilla, with small hint of smoke. Something that I would buy over and over again. — 4 years ago
A luscious Vino Nobile the all the merits attributed by the proclaimed experts…big flavor dark berries smooth balanced soft tannins and the famous yada yada yada of the merely opinionated wine aficionado/drinker. Drink again! — 2 years ago
Sweet but not cloying. Delightful on its own, or in a fancy negroni. Probably the best vermouth I’ve had (though I am not an aficionado!) — 3 years ago
I’ll admit it: I’m not a pinot aficionado. However, this bottle is changing my attitude towards the varietal. — 4 years ago

Had to get in the zone as I will have dinner with our Napa Valley Aficionado this week 😊. High quality wine. Just wasn’t able to explore it. Stayed very tight and the oak was hiding (I think) some very promising vibrant fruit. — a year ago
