Nice blackberry, vanilla and soft tannins. Fruit flavors are present and nicely balanced. Paired well with the cast iron bavette. — 6 years ago

A nice mix of black/blue/red fruits, lightly spiced, Medium to full bodied, feels like a bit of whole bunch (?) nicely dry savoury finish, tannic, crisp acidity. 93 as I thoroughly enjoyed sitting at their new cellar door with the afternoon sun filtering through the gums. — 7 years ago

We had the battle of the Shiraz at our family gathering over Christmas. A Shiraz from South Australia and South Africa. Both 2016. This Shiraz, despite from the Adelaide Hills where I think it is a little cooler, was very rich, very bold and broad and a slight jammy note on the edge perhaps. People liked it, but all the votes when for the Shiraz of Cederberg from South Africa. Fun!!! — 9 months ago

A really good red blend. Rich, fruity Cabernet forward wine with a great finish. — 6 years ago
Smooth and elegant. Acidic w mineral and white pepper notes w just a touch of Brett. I imagine this is what Syrah tasted like 100 years ago. 😊🙏🍷 — 7 years ago
Full Strawberry nose with white pepper. Taste juicy red berry front settles down to a wash blueberry. Then at back of mouth intensity starts with flavour of roasted red peppers done over oak coals and finish cleanse of eucalyptus.🍷 — 7 years ago

The 2014 Jimmy Watson Trophy winner. 30% whole bunch ferment; 2-3% Viognier co-fermented. The winemaker, Steve Pannell is highly awarded in Australia and made the following comment, “Wonderful now but I’ll be keeping a few bottles for a celebration in 2026 and suggest you do the same. “ Written on 17/11/23. This wine was intense in flavour without being too big. Black plum, spice and liquorice. Have the last one in 2030+ if I have the willpower. — 7 days ago
