At a really good place right now. Singing. Perfumed, quite expressive nose of acacia, wet rocks, brine, lemon curd. Unctuous yet nervous. — 7 years ago
Stunning Butteaux from monsieur Raveneau. Rolling rocks on your palate. Tension, lemon peel and citrusy notes from a cool site. A textural roundness from a warm vintage and quite a long finish for a premier cru. What a combo. — 7 years ago
Envinate meets comando g. Amazing tannins, freshness, vibrant, alive, very firm, long minerality, rocky solid, so good. Soft attack then structure grows gradually. — 6 years ago
Top notch Chablis-like. Salty, loyal to its Atlantic origin. Pale gold, closed nose, tons of crushed shells on the palate. Quite JURAssic. Low in alcohol, high in acid and minerals. A touch of flor perhaps. Which adds class to the palate. — 7 years ago
Quite enjoyable. Fresh, zingy (for the vintage), ripe lemons, sea spray, bit of good oxidation. — 7 years ago
Balsamic, cork. Barbaresco structure. Close af. Agressive. Rustic. Austere. Va. Soy sauce. Dry with a lot leaves. Dark choco all the way. Long. Not my thang. — 7 years ago
Sweet fruit, sweet spices, bloody, leather, tobacco. Mid bodied, quite good sense of chalkness, fine grained tannins but there is a supper annoying sweetneess that bothers me. — 6 years ago
The 16’s are lighter, brighter than traditional 14s like. Wet granite comes first, then the spiciness and cranberry juice. Not juicy on the palate. It’s more acid and mineral driven. I like it although it not my fav Foillard. — 7 years ago
Quite good wine for a not so good vintage. Granite, dried blood, blackpepper, leather, incense. Medium to full weight. Good persistence. — 7 years ago
Igor Beron
Light extraction, so concentrated, so chalky, so long, so fresh and vibrant. firm high tannins but refined. Light herbs, closed. Long. Anised. Lots of acid and minerals predominantly. — 6 years ago
