Cork was soaked through and made me nervous but this bottle was gorgeous from the first sip. Golden and rich color on this wine.
Usually this wine needs some airtime to come into its own but this one was great
Good stone fruits and a bit of pineapple. Sweetness and oak without any sugar.

Wow, a rich Riesling — 4 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2001 Domaine Louis Remy (currently known as Chantal Remy) Latricières-Chambertain pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of bruised strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, dried red flowers, sous bois, mushrooms, a touch of black pepper and a charming mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is brilliant, old school GC Burgundy with decades left in it. Drink now through 2051. — 2 months ago

Fucking perfect. — 3 years ago
Popped and poured. This is a bit unusual as it’s a Pinot Blanc and then even more unusual that it was released as a Special Club. The 2017 vintage may have something to do with the focus on Pinot Blanc though I have no information to back that up. Redolent of stone fruits on the nose with mostly white peach and some apricot; both mostly on the slightly underripe end of the spectrum. Lemons and chalky minerals too. Acid is medium(+?). The finish is long and slightly bitter. Pretty fun to drink and probably at its best now or over the next 5 years. Disgorged 10/2021 — 4 years ago
Fantastic price. Not quite enough minerality for me. — a month ago
Top gemacht!! — 4 months ago

Pale lemon-gold; nose of lime, green apple and nectarine, with some chalk, nettles, herbs and a clearcut petrol/rubber note; dry, tight, medium-body with ripe grapefruit; long, cool, stony and citrussy finish; elegant, energetic and serious Erste Lage where I’ll keep the other bottles for a few years. — 4 days ago
