This is a beautifully elegant nebbiolo with generous aromatics, a silky smooth mouthfeel, and refined tannins providing just a touch of grip on the finish. Notes of cherry, mint, and white pepper come through on the nose, and on the palate additional flavors of cloves, orange zest, and violet add complexity. Finish Is moderately long, with lingering notes of spice, cherry, and bitter orange. This paired well with pan-seared duck breast and a port wine blueberry reduction sauce. Light/medium bodied with high acidity. — 2 days ago

Very nice Gourds, I wasn’t mocking them at all. Just a little word play considering, I thought it funny myself 🤷🏼♂️.Great out of the gate. Needs an hour to fully express
Nose is cherry flower, as this opens some savoriness. Some old Nebbiolo character. Some sweet wood.
Palate is a bit tight. Super elegant cherries. Some bitterness. Very silky. As this opens more sweet cherry fruit. Elegant richness.

Finally a genuinely tasty red wine! Nicely soft and yet full of flavour. Warm, with a perfect touch of sweetness. A true delight both on its own as well as companied with good food.

Non so perché l’avevo dimenticato in un angolo della cantina: un favoloso ritrovo!
Un bouquet prestigioso degno dei poeti che lo raccontano.
Da riprovare assolutamente! 💯 — a day ago
Pale straw lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruit with floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peaches and lemon with notes of herb floral spice. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral and mineral character. — 2 months ago
Wow! I Was not sure if to believe the 9.2 mark but I am blown away! Amazing red! I will give it a solid 9. Just because I am not sure i tried 9.2 — 3 years ago
So. Damn. (Elegantly). Crushable. Rangpur lime, a petrol-y olive oil, memories of a summer fruit pie, a sprinkle of tarragon, crisp mineral-y tang that fades into a beautiful calcium carbonate lime zest finish and a hit of aromatic joint…oh, wait… — 4 years ago

I could live on this. Alpine tiny red berry intensity, medium/lightish weight, firm tannins, opens up to lusher, crushed red fruits with air, feels like it never swerves off (whatever is) the path too far. Prominent acidity but in a cool menthol tone which drives it all along. Sure, has to drink in the next 1-3 years, but at about 17$…..Given all the Barbera in the blend, I can imagine pairing with most dishes, including tomato based bouillabaisse. 65% Picotener (“the forgotten Nebbiolo “/30% Barbera/5% Neretto. — 2 days ago
