Valpolicella Superiore Corvina Blend 2013

2013: Classic Vallpolicella, a “half Amarone” ripasso. Dense, inky, mouth-coating, full-bodied without too much sweetness and with some barnyard funk. I only wish it had a bit more grip: was more enjoyable early on when the tannins were more evident. Could be a function of the good-but-not-great vintage, but I slightly prefer Quintarelli for this kind of pocket change ($95, VR). — 7 days ago

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2016

Classic amarone. Opens up with sweet dark fruit and chocolately hints. Slowly evolves with some touches of figs, plums, and vegetal barnyard notes. Nice tannings and lovely wine that pairs magnificently with steak. Definitely worth a second bottle. — a day ago

Morandina Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2020

Winetrip Veneto.
Visit of Graziano Pra where the focus is on Soave but they also have very good Valpolicella. Nice Amarone from a colder part of Valpolicella so higher in acidity . Beautiful venue incl lunch on their Monte Bisson location. Rating is for the complete tasting.

Collezione di Famiglia Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2016

Tinazzi, collezione di famiglia, valpolicella

Almond, cherry, blackberry. This is nice, fresh, young and inviting. The palate is very well balanced. Nice acid drive and and a super soft mouthfeel like silk. A big bright cherry is dancing all along until a tiny drying effect in the rear, powering a long and nice finish with cherry, a tiny bitter note and that slightly drying effect. This could be the best valpolicella simple version I've had so far but it's probably the most matured I've had and the tannins are now well integrated making it a delicious wine. Great effort!

La Corte del Pozzo Valpolicella Ripasso Corvina Blend

Very full in body, with fruit forward flavor. You can taste the layers evolve from spices and plums with a velvet mouth feel to a slightly cherry finish. Absolutely phenomenal! — a day ago

Excellent tasting at Tommaso Bussola. I’m rating the tasting in general. Incredible wines from a winery in expansion! The Riserva 2011 was sublime!

Monte Lodoletta Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2015

The best Amarone I have ever had! Blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina. Dark ruby color with a hint of red around the rim. Lovely aromas of black fruit, violets, baking spices, and cocoa. Full pallet of dried fig, black plums, black tea, and herbs. Earth and mineral notes on the very long finish. Creamy texture. Tannins are a bit chewy but not over top. Everything about this wine is totally in harmony and no one flavor dominates. Unbelievable! Thank you for sharing this one Kasey and Petey! — a day ago

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend 2013

Solid as always! Since 1999 this is my safe bet on Amarone wines. Great nose with big cherries and chocolate. Still fresh and young. Great PQR. — 17 days ago

Ansari Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2017

Winetrip Veneto.
Fratelli Tedeschi visit with a large Amarone offer. Insane Amarone La Fabriseria, but the others where also from a high quality level where in terms of QPR the Ansare was the best. Rating on complete tasting

Suggestion from the sommelier since the wine we ordered was not available anymore. A very nice surprise. Smoky and soft as silk. Can use some more years in the cellar
