The 18 is DRC quality a unicorn there is no other Pinot like it right now. It takes hour/days to reveal its layers and power. @40 min: Tannins soft and super well managed no rough edges here a hint of mint, faint touch of black tea bitters, herbaceous @ 15h: More round no oxidative disturbances.
Dark cherry, tart and closed. Finally @7days under Argon: Black Forest meadow, tannins resolved, glorious fruit, long. Dark black heirloom black forest cherries. The 18 E & M Muschelkalk beats out at Pinot I had in the last years . “I wish you where here”. — 3 months ago
2000 was unbelievable! With Italian dinner and family, better than a unicorn! — 22 days ago
The unicorn Rosé from Valentini! I’m not really a fan of still Rosé generally, other than Prieure Roch, Lillian and now this one! Deep, intense and complex with wonderful texture and density. Some reduction. Crushed cherries, blood orange, red roses, smoked herbs and wet stones. Finishes with very good length, precision and energy. — a month ago
Unbelievable expression of Napa intensity without the alcohol weight. A true unicorn wine. — 3 months ago
Agree with @Bill Bender seems that anything PYCM touches is just stellar. No exception here. Some what a unicorn coming out of Chassagne-Montrachet tangerine, apricot and cream out of the glass. Acid is still in the front of the palate then rolls to the back for a sustained long finish. You get all the elements of cream, yellow watermelon and minerals. — 3 months ago
