Sette Ponti or "seven bridges," refers to 7 bridges crossing the Arno River on the road from Arezzo to Florence. Blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cab Sauv & 10% Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in new French oak. Very dark Ruby with pronounced aromas of dark fruits, cigar box & earthy notes, touch of floral citrus. Flavors of black cherry & blackberry with tobacco & spice. Fine tight tannins, long finish ending with cacao, tobacco & mineral spice as the finish builds. Decant now! Will continue to age! — 3 days ago
Dark ruby in color, almost Inky, with a wide reddish rim.
On the nose blueberries, black currants, black cherries, light vanilla, coke, licorice, Indian spices, tar, light vegetables, earth, tobacco leaf and graphite.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, wood, spices, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso and earth.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a very enjoyable Cabernet Franc blend from Italy. Tangy and interesting with lots of fruit.
Better after 90 minutes of airtime.
Really loved the nose after 2 hours in the decanter.
Showing very nicely at this point, once it opens up, with nice complexity, good structure and a nice mouthfeel. I love these Italian Bordeaux style reds.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and good with food too. I paired it with cheeses and Italian dried meat.
A blend of 60% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot and 10% Syrah. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. A small production of only 8,000 bottles.
14% alcohol by volume.

From the makers of Sassicaia, Deep Ruby with red & black fruits and floral aromas of this 60% Cab Sauv 40% Merlot blend. On the palate flavors of cherry, currants and blackberry with cinnamon, licorice, cacao and earthy notes, well integrated. Fine tannins, approachable, a wine with a solid structure, elegant and smooth, long finish, great mouth feel ending with fruit and spicy oak. Decant! Will age well over next 5 years. An exceptional value at $20 - one of the best I’ve had recently. Ready to go out of the bottle with a bit of a chill. So fresh with great lighter red fruits. Nice reflection of higher altitude Sangiovese from Montalcino. Excellent balance and acid, medium minus tannins. Should have bought more. — 3 days ago

My first single varietal Ciliegiolo! (Normally a Tuscan blending grape). Dark plum and black cherry fruit aromas and flavors. Hints of smoked meat. grilled herbs, fresh tilled soil and iodine. Smooth tannins and easy to drink. Bold, Dense and Interesting. — 2 days ago
Caiarossa is located in Riparbella, mid-Tuscany, Province of Pisa. The closeness to the sea has given this mix of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Alicante freshness, delicacy and elegance. Dark fruit flavoured, but not over the top. Excellent wine! — 10 days ago
