Haven’t had much from Ruffino. Not bad at all, but definitely was hoping for a bit more fruit expression and some better acid on the finish. A bit dusty.

Blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot. Dark ruby (opaque) color. Aromas and flavors of red cherry, bramble berries and plums, with hints of tobacco, violets, baking spices, roasted nuts and white pepper. Touch of minerality and light oak on the medium-long finish. Soft and gentle tannins and reasonably bright acidity.
