Riserva Ducale Oro Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2015

In 1877, Illario and Leopoldo Ruffino laid the foundations of their dream to make Italian wines from the heart of Tuscany. Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit and earthy spice. On the palate black cherry, blackberry and plum flavors with tobacco, pepper and earthy cedar notes. Full-bodied, well balanced soft tannins on a smooth medium+ finish. Grab pizza or pasta and enjoy the great value wine. — 11 days ago

Le Volte Toscana Sangiovese Blend 2017

Decent...a bit hollow. I would rate Ruffino Modus higher. Alcohol forward. Some red berries midway but otherwise disappointing. Drink with massive food otherwise pass.

Riserva Ducale Oro Gran Selezione Chianti Classico Sangiovese

Enjoyable wine and typical Chianti notes. Not overly complex but a good food match for spaghetti and meatballs. Probably $15 too much. — a day ago

Alauda Toscana Cabernet Franc Blend

A birthday gift from a good friend. 2011 opened in 2020. It was great. Plenty of tannins, with the full body of a super Tuscan. — 5 days ago
