This is bonkers good. So fresh. Berries, currant, sage, some flowers, cherries, some pepper and herbs, good acidity, long tart lovely finish. Killer cab franc. — 2 months ago

not the loudest nose, essence of strawberry and raspberry, but not sweet. mouthfeel is very light, one of the better cab francs i’ve ever had. — a month ago

Gave this lots of air that showed an elegant, perfumed nose of dark cherry, berry with notes of cola, savory spices, licorice, floral, violets & tobacco leaf. — 2 months ago
Very light yellow robe, nose of litchi, citrus and hints of butter. Very long in the mouth, complex, elegant, good balance of body and acidity and great finish. This is fantastic now but might improve still with some more bottle time: — 4 months ago

On paper they say 08 wasn’t a good vintage but hey I love it. Old vine Reynard is excellent in 2008 showing all the Allemand sigs with dark fruit, olive tapenade and a liquid rock minerality. 08 is particularly Bordeaux like and not at all thin—that magical Reynard vineyard really ups the concentration of any vintage. Always a thrill to drink Allemand, my favorite Syrah. — 3 hours ago
