Terre Di Zagara

Terre dei Ru Nebbiolo d'Alba 2016

Nose has this Nebbiolo brick thing. Hint of cherry flower. Some library dust. Some roses.

Palate is dusty cherry. Rose internal aromatics. Some nice loveliness.

A very nice study in Nebbiolo.

I’d drink this now.

Ah fuck. Maybe mildly corked an hour in. It felt a little off. Sonafabitch it’s corked. God hates us all.

Bought from selections.

Taste of fruit, licorice and vanilla. Full-bodied but easy to drink. Suitable for chips as well as meat dishes. — 8 days ago

Agricola Virà

Terre Siciliane Catarratto

Got a bottle with dinner from Night + Market. Really liked the funk, color, and mineral. 2019 label is a lot cooler and “arty” looking. — 12 days ago

Oracolo White Blend 2018

Very elegant orange wine from a blend of Malvasia, Ortrugo, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscato. 10-15 days of skin contact in stainless steel. I also used some to cook spaghetti alle vongole, but the subtle acidity wasn’t the best for cooking. Drink it instead! — 21 days ago

Terre Siciliane Rosato 2019

Deep dark ruby rosato. Rosehips, strawberry, cherry, banana, citrus, cinnamon and pie crust. A pure and beautiful wine. Light, elegant and simultaneously concentrated. Long satisfying finish. — 17 days ago

I seem to have run out of bad wine? Or maybe just too generous

@Lyle Fass even those who sell the wine they’re grading? How scandalous! ; )

Conte de la Terre

Édition Limitée Willamette Valley Gewürztraminer 2019

Yellow in color with a golden hue.

Beautiful nose of flowers, tropical fruits, pineapples, citrus, spices, honey and white pepper.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with citrus, lemons, apples, spices and light tropical fruits.

Medium finish with spices and honey.

This is a very nice Gewürztraminer from Williamette Valley in Oregon.

Refreshing with mild complexity with a nice, soft mouthfeel.

Shows a great flowery nose. Not bitter nor too sweet and nicely balanced with a little bit of RS.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. Delicious.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

Aged for 3 months in stainless steel. Unfined and lightly filtered.

13% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Il Chiosso

Terre Moreniche Ghemme Nebbiolo 2015

Lyle Fass

Exuberant nose. Cherries. Chestnut. Gamey. Mega spice. Wild. Untamed. Classic Ghemme. Floral. Can tell it’s from a warm vintage. But in a good way. Warm vintage, cooler region. Palate is juicy and ripe with those rustic, deep Ghemme tannins. Good concentration. Nice depth. Not much finesse so far. But intense flavor and length. Rustic for sure. Not showing as well as last bottle. I’ll be back. — 25 days ago

Tenuta delle Terre Nere

Etna Bianco Carricante Blend 2018

Lovely herbaceousness. Phenolic astringency that lends a remarkable aspect of texture. Overripe citrus fruit and nutty, sherry-like tinges on the finish. — 4 days ago
