I like this ‘16 a bit better than I recall liking the ‘15 (which had screeching acids). Intense nose. Perfumey, with kids of crushed volcanic gravel, a deep animal fur note, spice, and oozy red berries. Deep in the mouth, it’s got tons of volcanic stone minerality, old leather, and plenty of macerated dark cherry underlying it. Acids are there but integrated. Still quite a bit of tannin chalkily coating the mouth. Will go great with the rustic pasta dish I’m making. — 4 months ago
Crisp, but not light bodied. East drinking with a beautiful mineral/fruit balance. 100% will drink again. — 14 days ago
The 2021 Falanghina del Sannio Preta is pretty and delicate in the glass. It wafts up with peach and dusty yellow floral aromas. This is pure and energetic, with bright acidity elevating crisp orchard fruits. Its minerality blends with a salty mineral flourish that comes through on the finish. $22.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, August 2023) — a month ago
With each tilt of the 2021 Flora Falanghina, the senses light up. A seductive blend of fresh mint, peach preserves, sweet smoke and vanilla custard wafts up from the glass. It’s elegant yet potent, washing across the palate with textures like weighted silk guided by vibrant acidity as a contrasting core of crisp tart apple emerges. Its minerality comes through the finish, tapering off salty and mouthwatering, as a bitter twang of savory spice punctuates the experience. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — 3 months ago

No formal notes - from half bottle. I have always loved the rich flavoursome notes of Falanghina from the Campania region of Italy with notes of honeysuckle and pear. Impossible not to like. — 12 days ago
