The palate features red and black berry/plum flavors with additional notes of mocha, mushrooms, dusty herbs, white pepper and orange peel. Firm tannins and a long and lingering finish. Classy & elegant with ripe black fruit, exotic spices, a touch of leather, a whiff of wilted violets and orange zest. A bit earthy & mineral, too though showing youthful freshness & energy.
Poised & very elegant on the palate with beautifully polished yet grilly tannins and juicy acidity. Layers of black fruit with wood shrimp seamlessly integrated. Nice volume & depth, terrific energy in the long finish. A classic Rioja reserva and the perfect wine for late fall.
