Rated as the “lesser” cru of 2013 but started phenomenally, beautiful aromatic nose and juicy taste with the typical Barbaresco flavours. Color of burgundy with a slight purple hue. Quite clear. Nose of nice dried strawberry, beautiful aldehyde, nice savory herb, oily paint, and strength of alcohol. Nose is beautiful and well refined. Taste follows the nose with addition of zest, slight sweetness, warmth of alcohol, and mellow tannins. Well balanced and tasty. Aftertaste is long and savory. Beautiful. — 2 days ago

Ruby with dried red fruit aromas and earthy herb floral scents, aged 36 months in oak. On the palate sour cherry & raspberry, cinnamon, toasty nuts, licorice and herb notes. Full soft tannins bring fruit to long finish ending with earthy mineral. Wonderful! Will age for another decade. — 17 days ago
Dark ruby with a hint of brown. Slight translucency. On the nose, cherry, currants, prune, spice, leather and vanilla. On the palate, cherry, prune, strawberry, vanilla, spice/pepper, anise, minerals, smoked oak, medium body. Tannins still strong but do not inhibit a long fruity finish. $60 at B-21. — 13 days ago
