Rolling the dice with an 02 Leflaive…. Bingo, we have a winner. Light straw gold color. Fruit and floral nose. Wet stone, citrus, tan spice, pineapple and honeydew. Great acidity. We had a backup ready to go but the premox plague missed this one. Great juice. — 5 days ago
Pretty if a touch too rounded/polished — 8 days ago
Hints of spicy citrus as the glass swirls. The typical minerality in the forward flavors pushes the tropical fruits to the background. Nice and clean. — 19 days ago
Drank 6/3/21. Excellent with a ribeye.
Plums and earth on the nose. Palate is round and flavorful with juicy plum, blackberry, and earth. Well integrated tannins. Finishes with dark fruit that lasts around 40 seconds. Drink now and over the next 3-5 years.

From the Domaine Leflaive Montrachet, Burgundy France 🇫🇷 is 100% Chardonnay and has a gorgeous golden hue. The nose hits you with oak, vanilla, butter, honey and some sweet tropical fruit of pineapple 🍍, green apple 🍏, honey 🍯, white flowers, lemon rind 🍋 and some mineral notes (like flint and limstone). The palate was very creamy with flavours of melon 🍈, lemon 🍋, lime, apple and hints of tropical fruit too. The finish was smooth and long giving it some delightful complexity. 🤩 — 7 days ago
Popped and poured at a social gathering. No formal notes. In the glass, a striking greenish gold. The nose is intense suggesting a wine of real verve…and it was. Effusive, bright tropical fruit, star fruit, apricot, cheese, and minerals. This wine is so well endowed with fruit! That being said, there is tremendous acid too. My WOTN enjoyed with a handful of other Chablis. — 17 days ago
