Awesome funkiness that I love about Normandy cider. From Weygandt. — 20 days ago
One of the best I sell that has somewhat of a cult following. It’s one of those wines that seems so familiar but is made from an odd grape in an odd place. But man does it work. Nose is floral and lifted. Gorgeous tiny berry mountain alpine fruit. It’s intense. Deep and grapey initially but it’s got substance. Incredibly clear and vivid minerals. Just arresting and original aromas. Superb concentration and what an awesome velvety texture. Superb depth and freshness. Stunning clarity and purity. Velvety tannins. What a showing. Best bottle of Rutissons I’ve ever had. — 13 days ago
i rarely drink calvados, this one is the best so far — a month ago
Nose has ripe red raspberries, sliced lime, dehydrated cherries and rising dough.
Palate has ripe cherries, dried raspberry, light salinity with a nice acid on the finish.
The newer vintage arrived last fall (2020) and it's finally warm enough outside to really appreciate drinking it! — 9 days ago
Dark garnet with blackish purple core. Inviting nose of black cherry, red apple, and cola. Full-bodied palate yields black cherry, raspberry, red apple peel, anise, and light patent leather. Supple medium plus tannins mid-palate to finish. Medium plus acidity. An excellent Rhône red that’s ready for any “red wine” situation from American steak dinners to medium and hard cheeses to cigars. Drinking wonderfully now, but will satisfy and develop through at least 2030. — 8 days ago
Love this wild Savoie kitchen sink red blend. Really a terrific wine for the money. Really vivid nose of pure cherry fruit and mountain spices. Fir trees. Hint of game. Almost sausage. Saucisson. But high toned and floral as well. Palate is ripe and clean with terrific clarity and freshness. Very energetic and linear with terrific length and lovely dash of mineral intensity on the finish. A great wine. Terrific concentration and the best most charming rusticity. Surprisingly persistent. I mean really persistent. — 13 days ago
Nice but not as dry as I thought it would be — a month ago
