Nose is piercingly Fresh peach. As it opens more floral. White peach flowers. With more air intense florality.
Palate acidity just grabs you. Best peach ever. Not a “pleasant drinker”. This is a fantastic bottle of wine. Maybe some green apple skin ? Yes. As it opens green apple.
Wow. This is a Fucking great bottle of wine. Feinherb. But huhnerberg Feinherb. It’s own animal. A beast.
As this aerates it flirts with magic. In a hard to describe way. The aromatics get just so filigreed. Ok. Aromatics are crazy. A tropical flower perfume that explodes the nose.
The palate so precise. Wow.
This would be higher if the palate were as good as the nose.
Major bottle variation from the last bottle which was merely solid.

Pop and pour. Notes from 3ish hours open. On the nose: ripe peach, soft saffron, meyer lemon, a hint of honey, tarragon...fantastically intense. On the palate: amazing acidity, and balanced density; lime, soft peach, nettle..excellent complexity. Mouth-filling and excellent length. Still very young, but with the balance and intensity, this shows so much promise whilst being very enjoyable already! — 13 days ago
Vintage 2016 | very true to type Riesling. Lovely vanilla in smell, ananas, passion fruit, buttery. ‘Spritzig’ in taste with remarkable sweetness kept in check by high acidity. Could drink this whole summer. And be happy. | Paired with a Spanish Tortilla. Nice start of the weekend. — 14 days ago
Last time I gave this a 10. Today it’s damn close. Wow. Sick, expansive nose of guava, pineapple, tangerine, spice, flowers, herbs and mango. Perfect ripeness. Just so complex and beautiful. Rainwater. Honey. Endless aromas. Wow that palate. As perfect as a cloud. Stunning density, texture and all in a light package yet doesn’t intensity. Young but so great. A miraculous wine. Amazing acidity, not too high but caressing and invigorating. Concentrated and elegant with flavors of mango, papaya, red currant, and tangerine. Some apricot as well. Finish is slatey, gamey and spicey. Divine juice. — 6 days ago
AP16-11 from a 0,375
Fantastic acidity, loads of peppery spice, deeply fruited core, pineapple-mango-passionfruit sherbet, orangepeel shavings. Dense and concentrated, almost BA in style.
Just perfect accompaniment for a big chunk of foie. — 4 days ago
wow 🤩. the magic of aged riesling. there’s still a lot of youth and freshness here. but there is an unmistakeable bruising of the fruit, bruised golden apple, bruised lemon. some really deep honeysuckle and golden honey. this bottle can probably last another 20 years easy but it’s in a great drinking window now. — 2 days ago
Nose is mineral angle grapefruit pith.
Palate is grapefruit. Mineral. Laserlike acidity.
Brilliantly well made entry level Riesling.
Day 3 this is crazy. Nose is intoxicating grapefruit peel perfume. Almost sexual. Palate has amazing Contained richness. Sick density. Five times as good as this has any right to be as an entry level wine. Bow down before Muellen.

The one and only! Just a genius wine. Nose is super herbal off the bat. A hint of creaminess. Really complex and just stunningly clean and vivid. I love Auslese. Wow what a palate. Engaging and intense. But filigreed and super light and elegant. Sappy and pure. Electric acids and wonderful sappy fruit and just unreal minerality. Finishes dry with a hint of foie gras which is classic Mosel Auslese character. Just a superb wine. Finishes salty, slatey and with lots of lime rock candy. Superb! — 14 days ago
