I'm no longer surprised how great Mosel Rieslings are these days. What still surprises me is how under appreciated the wines are by the wine community at large. Also, just how under priced they are versus other Int'l fine wines. If you are looking for great value wines, Germany Rieslings are a great place to start. This is still relatively young but it's acidity has softened. The wine is much rounder with 6-7 years in the bottle. There's ripe & delicious red and green apple, lime candy, lemon zest, green melon, pineapple juice in can, grapefruit, touch of tangelo, citrus blossoms, graham cracker, honey, touch of herbs & mint, soft minerals that are really nice, yellow lilies, beautiful acidity and very round, polished long finish that lasts over a full minute. @Paul T this one might change your mind. JJP is a high quality producer as well as very hospitable hosts. Really enjoyed my visit there in September 15. Excellent pair with our spicy Asian food.

Jan 6th, 2017A lovely wine for Christmas day (when this was drunk). Proper Riesling character but avoiding any kerosene notes. Lemons, limes (a touch of Rose's lime cordial here), some stone fruit and that Mosel minerality.

2008 vintage. Super youthful, elegant Kabinett. Green apple, lime peel, mango skin, honeydew melon, white rocks, honeysuckle. Typical yeast funk nose that JJ Prüm is known for, though it more or less blows off within an hour. Can't get over how young this tastes!!
