Tons of juicy blackberry and some green notes on the nose. More blackberry and a little spice on the palate, nice bright acidity, very tannic but not abrasive. Really enjoyed this, I've only had a couple really poor quality montepulciano before so this was eye opening on what the grape can offer. — 5 days ago
Deep dark red with brownish rim. Mild black pepper. Very mild tannins. Dark fruit. — 14 days ago
I’ve had the pleasure of trying 2 Montepulciano’s in the last two weeks that are both exactly how they should be, nothing flashy but solid well made food friendly warm and tasty snd full of leather, black stones and other touches of earth with bright and balanced fruits — a day ago
House red at Bella’s. Decent dinner wine. — 4 days ago
Killer for Marche - supple, cooler northern appellation. Take that montepulciano d’abruzzo — 16 days ago
Starting to fall in love with these Montepulciano reserves. This is a great one. Dark penetrating extracts of prune and dark tart cherry that unfold in your mouth like a 500 page book. Subtle, fine grained tannins carry the wine for a 3 minute lingering finish. Montepulciano wines are made from a special Sangiovese selection called Prugnolo gentile, a smaller berry with thinner skin than the larger berries from the Sangiovese grosso selection used in Brunello wines from Montalcino. Destiny flavor, needs a bit of an acquired taste , but once adapted they become addictive. — 3 days ago

Stunning bottle! Far less dark and brooding than 2006, the uber rare 2000 Montepulciano is elegant, seamless and impeccably detailed. It’s layered with crazy depth of aromatics that soar flaunting BBQ spice, espresso, dried flowers and red fruit. It has off the charts complexity and a wild untamed nature to its expression that is as intriguing as it comes. The palate is precise, pure and balanced with a stunningly elegant texture and incredible length. Masterful wine. — 13 days ago
