At Pressoir NYC burgh tasting - this 2009 from the magnum was best of the Volnays and best of the tasting overall - deep brooding structured fruit, stellar - and notably better than the 2008 — 2 months ago
A gift from our friend Steve L. a few years ago, which we drank on the occasion of our 19th anniversary. Nice “jammy” blackberry fruit flavor; dry and medium to full bodied. A 2018 vintage that we enjoyed during 2025. I would expect the wine is one that ages well. — 2 months ago
Blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, smoke and flinty notes, aged 40% new French oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with cacao, cedar, espresso and spicy notes. Lively acidity, firm dusty tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, tobacco and spicy oak. Needs a little more time in bottle. — 4 months ago
So seamless and delicious. We had 3 forty year olds at dinner so this was a birth year wine for the majority of our dinner. Last had a couple years ago, and this remains very good. Not primary, but also wouldn’t guess 40 years old. Really nice pairing with a roast leg of lamb on Christmas. — 9 days ago
Tart cherries , nice acidity. Easy to like — 2 months ago
Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, cedar-wood, exotic spices. Very very merlot, ripe but not over, its a high octane wine that shows a bit of its 15 degrees on the finish. Not our favorite vintage but the wine is super well done and might benefit from a few more years on bottle. — 3 months ago
This is drinking so well. Nose of cassis, redcurrant, classic Margaux flowers, green peppercorn (Carmenere), crazy florals, just a masterful nose. Leather and glorious spice. Palate is wide and sleek, elegant and decadent than sharply concentrated and sweet. The tannins are sweet and aggressive but the fruit is extraordinary and in a few hours I see this being even more supple. Fantastic. — a month ago
Blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon (young vines), 57% Merlot (older vines) and 3% Cabernet Franc, aged in 40% new French oak, deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. — 2 months ago
Con los síntomas de un poco excesivo envejecimiento, pero en muy buen estado tras 43 años — 3 months ago

I would have preferred a bit less polish style but very good nonetheless. — 13 days ago
