Vintage 2010 | My last 375 ml, curious because I thought it might be too old. Instead: it is g o r g e o u s. Beautiful ripened cab franc smell, as vibrant as possible. The back label says cab franc ánd cab sauvignon. Elegant taste. This wine is from the time Frederic Brochet owned the domaine and wanted to make wines as beautiful as possible. Proof that great wines can be made in Vienne. Biological organic wine, if anyone needs proof that these wines can ripen > this is a great example. Paired with pasta and a improvisation mushroom sauce. — 4 months ago

2018 vintage. The 2018 Bordeauxfest continues (but sadly over with this specimen). Dark dense spearmint plummy nose. High acid. Medium body. Respectfully giving up just enough to rate but clearly needs a week at the beach. Everything in due time, I suppose. Big tannin reservoir and built to revisit in a solid twenty. Maybe hit it again in a baker’s dozen bender for giggles but it structurally lacks a sense of humo(u)r so best not to. Serious stuff. — 5 years ago

😂😂😂 this was popped with no expectations, next to the sink so we could quickly pour it down the drain. the wine ended up being beautiful! The fruit is all secondary of course, bust still tons of dried tart cherry and forest floor. It is refreshing and zero signs of oxidation. Not sure if there is truth to this, but I was told that it had belonged to R Welland. — 8 years ago

2019 vintage. Last tasted 3.8.25 (9.6) and 8.19.23 (9.5). Excellent fill and great cork. Decanted and tasted after 30 minutes. Small amount of chunky sed. Medium-heavy body but starting to slowly thin out. Excellent colo(u)r. Alongside the roasted nuts and smoked meats flavors, this drops a current cola-nut driven finish. Smooth and harmonious. Love this producer along with a nod to consumers/wine trade for keeping these ridiculous pricings down. 10.10.25. — 9 months ago

Always amazing.
N: Tar, Cherries, smoky rubber, forest, balsam, chocolate , dirt, spice( cinnamon).
P: Vegetal wrapped in luscious roundness, if I were schooled in burgs, I’m sure I could find comparable.
Such a delightful mouthfeel, lush, acidic, tannic all in harmony. Resinous pine.
One of the very faves.
