The Judge Napa Valley Chardonnay

Dried tropical fruit notes great acidity, really good.

Father’s day treat. Dense without being viscous, the finish lingers and lingers. This is California Chardonnay inspired by the wines of places like meursault. This is a heck of wine.

$223 from Kongsgaard’s 2020 offering. Likely only one of the nice things to come from 2020. I may have tapped it a bit early.

Nice way to start off a really fun dinner with my family. Started off a bit flat but after decanting for about an hour it started showing off. Lemon curd, butterscotch, apricot, peach and honey. Round and fat. Was hoping for a bit more acidity. Tasted side by side next to the '14 Napa which had a bit more zing.
