Fruit meets earthiness in a relatively round way — 5 months ago
The 2021 Nebbiolo Rusin opens slowly in the glass, displaying dried apricots, peach skins and sweet smoke. Soothing textures with brilliant acidity enriches its white cherry-berry fruits. Minerality and sour citrus linger as the 2021 tapers off with fine tension. $20.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, August 2022) — 16 days ago
This is the case when I am not sure if the wine is too complex or just flabby. Buttered croissant with vanilla, chalk, apples, oxidative notes, and pickles. The acidity is as sharp as a well-cared knife (e.g. not mine). Which is nice, but it lacks volume. The flavour is full of pickled lemons. Good, but there are definitely better things in this price range. — a month ago
Dark ruby color. Aromas of earth, Forrest Floor, violets, rose hips and dried herbs. Pallet is full of black fruit with a hint of leather. Little, if any, pyrazine is present. No oak. (Completely aged in Stainless Steel.) Juicy texture. This wine has a memorable rustic quality. Thanks for the gift, Kase. — 12 days ago
With Rebecca at The Charles. Dry and tight per me-dirt on the nose. Violet says Rebecca along with dried herbs. — a month ago
