The Rhôn-ish nose of this dark wine delivers blackberry aromas draped in savory notes of earth and spice - forest floor, cardamom, allspice, even a bit of roasted meat. The savory aspect really takes hold on the palate, with a beefy flavor coming through. The tannins are firm enough, but not too firm. The finish is long and satisfying. — 24 days ago
We drank the Adom 2016, a petite syrah, petite verdot, sirah and grenache blend. #kosher — 9 months ago
Roses on the nose. Really pretty and perfumed. Almost some really really pretty raspberry liquor. Gorgeous. Mild spice. Like from a spice merchant in the old city of Jerusalem. Beautiful.
Palate is clean precise but juicy Nebbiolo fruit. So sweet and delicious. Some coffee some chocolate.
Tastes like very well made barbaresco. Of course it’s declassified barbaresco so no shock.
Finish has a terrific raspberry liquor. Delicious.
Wow. A wonderful effort
Amazing raspberry liquor on the finish. Omg good.
I thought this would suck given the bad press given the vintage. Even against that preconception it was great.

2019 “Hydra” Sparkling Goriška Brda, by Kabaj.
First Slovenian Pet Nat! Woot!
Lite & tasty notes of Golden fruit, honey, stones, floral, apricot nectar with a lemon twist. Similar notes on the nose.
Slight haze, some loose lees notable.
Eager bubbles, heard the bottle pop from other room. Crown cap with plastic stopper underneath. Good stream bead and saturation.
If you are in the SF Bay Area, highly recommend pairing with Dish n’ Dash Chicken Shawarma Wrap; Jerusalem Style (Hummus/Eggplant/Cauliflower). Good pairing synergy.

Psagot Winery. Single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, 2016.
Heavy in alcohol, too ripe. — a year ago
Same comments as before. Went very well with Putanesca pasta. — 7 months ago
Naked and transparent, but stands firm with full confidence.
Lovely perfume of red fresh berries, fresh herbs and a red floral and peppermint-lift and orange blossom, over a platform of undergrowth
, nutmeg and mother rock.
Enters the room somewhat shy on the palate, but soon builds character and confidence over the palate. A stoney minerality and good acidity brings nerve and tension over an expansive mid palate with a strong fatigue through a rather long finish. Makeup is not needed on true beauty,
And yea it could easily be mistaken for A Gredos Garnacha from Bernabeleva, Comando G, Land and the likes.
Paired with chicken breast with ndjuja smeared under the skin, roast potatoes and Jerusalem artichokes, and a chicken- tarragon velouté
