De l'Air Pet Nat Chenin Blanc 2017

A proud hardliner as the artwork on the front label suggests, which more often than not, has proven to be a red flag for what’s to come in the bottle. Fortunately, this was superb and the WOTN for me. Salty, fresh, and juicy. Needed some time to open up to reveal notes of pear, pineapple, candied ginger, and hints of almond meal. Dangerously drinkable. — a year ago

Billard Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2015

Nose is cherry flower. A hint of skunkiness but not a lot.

Palate really has not a huge amount of fruit. A tad vegetal. A tad hot. Still some juiciness. Some soft rather lovely cherry. Some good deliciousness.

Fruit is a bit soft. Otherwise I’d like it more.

I’m enjoying drinking this even if it isn’t perfect. I’m not either.

As this opens the nose gets cherry lipstick. Lovely.

Vignois Côte de Nuits Villages Pinot Noir 2007

9.0

Nice wine at its prime drinking window (for my personal taste for aged wines). Nose of autumnal forest floor and earth, minerals and crushed mature berries with lively mouth feel and texture, perhaps just a bit one dimensional in a fading finish but an excellent GL 24 value back then especially given the current $ in the 50s. — 3 years ago

Earthy is characteristic of this Pinot. Then fruity like a typical Pinot. Really interesting Pinot from burgundy. — 8 months ago

Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2021

Nice Provence rose.
From the label:
COTES DE PROVENCE ROSE

Owned by the Quiot family from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the 200 acre estate lies at the foot of Mont Sainte Victoire near Aix-en-Provence. Its winemaking facilities have been completely renewed over the past 3 years.
This is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre.
Special efforts are made to preserve freshness and fruit by the use of CO2 gas to exclude oxygen during the harvest. This is a fresh rosé with a pretty salmon-pink color, elegant flavors of red berries, mineral notes and a clean finish. Serve this wine lightly chilled. Very nice on its own, it goes well with most dishes, specially sushi, salads, pizza and mild cheeses.
