Green %26 Red Vineyards

Patricia Green Cellars

Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

2021 vintage. Medium body. Nice depth, focus and concentration during the performance. Hated for the curtain to fall. May need an encore-and soon. More affordable than you suspect. 3.27.24. — 21 days ago

Patricia Green Cellars

Balcombe Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2017

Red fruit, spice, tannins integrating but still there. Wonderful spot now, but will certainly last a lot longer. — 3 months ago

Iron Horse Vineyards

Thomas Road Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Reminded me more of a Willamette Pinot than a traditional Russian River Valley. More earth tones then berry, lighter color but still a high alcohol level. Definitely having again. — 3 months ago

Dominus Estate

Dominus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

So appealing for such a young Dominus. Bursting aromatics of ripe currants, blueberries, baking spice, flowers, green leafs, pepper, iron. I know Dominus ages gracefully but this is a treat to drink already today. — 2 months ago

Broc Cellars

Solano County Green Valley Valdiguié 2022

Signature Broc red profile: bright, acidic, restrained, delicate, light. Silky mouthfeel with a slight prickle. Didn’t know this grape, but I like it. Love the label. — 3 months ago

Château Sociando-Mallet

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2000

March 2024. Worth the wait. Bordeaux heaven. Thankfully no green notes in my bottles. — a month ago

Château Pontet-Canet

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Coffee rye with baked, black currants, dried blackberry, cherrywood, cedar, light pepper, potable, African violet, fig, sarsaparilla and thyme. Grippy, grainy tannins awash in tart black cherry, cinnamon and savory. Young and green with tight tart edges, but open just enough to appreciated the complexities. Underrated sleeper vintage that just might come together. Finish is obfuscated at this juncture. Espresso is my guess, though!
