Gewürztraminer

Castello di Amorosa

Anderson Valley Gewürztraminer 2019

Pale lemon in color.

Pretty nose of white flowers, honey, lemons, spices, tropical fruits, red apples, honeysuckle, guava and white pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry to off dry on the palate with citrus, apples, pears, honeydew, black pepper, bitter herbs, light vegetables and spices.

Spicy finish with light almonds and black pepper.

This is a very tasty Gewürztraminer from Anderson Valley. Elegant and rich. Fruit forward and spicy.

Showing nice complexity with a smooth mouthfeel. Easy drinking and good for parties.

Nicely balanced with enough acidity to balance the sugars, and good by itself as a sipping wine.

Way too easy to drink this, so you better watch out, as the high alcohol will creep up on you really quickly.

I paired it with beautiful view.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$30.

Trentino Gewürztraminer 1945

My first my first GW from Italy. Know the region did not know they produced this varietal. Very tasty. Good balance and you get the floralness that is a trademark of this grape. I will buy again. — 6 days ago

Red Mountain Gewürztraminer 2016

The smell of a fresh ripe pear.

Medium to heavy weight, candied ginger, apricot, star fruit. Deliciously bright acidity with a touch of effervescence. Aged to perfection- I could see this getting Interesting in 10 years. Yet so freaking good right now.
Golden drops of absolute pleasure.

Nice find, can’t say I’ve had Red Mtn Gewurz and it sounds really solid - how’s price point?

@Trixie , @Sharon B 🥂 @ESF I believe it was 16 - shipping to east coast is about 4$ a btl, so 20 altogether. This was a #garagiste pick.
