Finca Las Moras

Château Léoville-Las Cases

Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1982

Brilliant. This wine has been reluctant to show the prowess of a 1982 Bordeaux but has evolved recently to show itself worthy of a great vintage and appears now ready for the long haul . Such a delight right out of the gate to enjoy. For those who follow the distinct palate of William Kelley, you will know the place this wine has today — 24 days ago

Le Petit Lion de Marquis de Las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Lovely. I love beautifully balanced wines. Second wine does not necessarily have to mean second best category. Love how this wine presented itself with a little time in the glass. — 2 months ago

Altos Las Hormigas

Reserve Mendoza Malbec 2029

So fresh & sappy.
Poised & balanced with great freshness. Juicy black fruit, with some iron, blood & fresh turned earth in the background. Surprisingly light.
On the palate this is juicy, joyful, fresh with tart cherry acidity, some stony minerality and great freshness. Delicious with grilled meat.

Château Léoville-Las Cases

Clos du Marquis Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1996

Suave and velvety. Dried herbs, iron, some sour black cherry, dark plum, minerality. Quite cold blooded and contained. Excellent — a month ago

Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Deep ink color with a short purple rim and a beautiful nose.

Full bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity.

Dry and very fruity on the palate, with nice complexity.

Showing blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, cola, raisins, figs, chocolates, dark coffee, cedar, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus and peppercorn.

This 10 year old Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking so beautifully now. Rich and extracted, with a soft mouthfeel. Fruit forward and engaging.

Needs an hour to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Wine Spectator 94 points. Wine Advocate 98 points.

Complex and good by itself. Will pair nicely with a big piece of steak. A gorgeous wine.

14.6% alcohol by volume.

95 points.
