Popped and poured; no formal notes. A little shy upon opening but after 30min of air, this was bangin’! Montmorency cherry, orange peel, black tea, dry dusty earth, spices. Firm structure. Still quite youthful but undeniably delicious. A wonderful accompaniment to pasta, marinara and panzanella. Drinking very well now with a little air and should continue to do so for another 10+ years. — 14 days ago
Nice wine, good fruit and acidity, very food friendly, low on character points but very serviceable with our Duck and Plums. — a day ago
Deep reddish tawny color, mostly translucent. Floral nose. Notes of red fruit, rose petals, dark soil, smoked meat and blood sausage, and a little anise. Rich and powerful in the mouth. Still has some tannin. Gets bigger with air over the evening. This came across as a somewhat different bottle of juice than the 70 Monprivato next to it - with the 70 being more aged-Barolo like, and the 78 being more of a hearty Cote-Rotie or something. Nevertheless everyone loved this and having the two side-by-side. — 14 days ago
Plummy, smoky, silky, some leathery smells too. High acidity. Still going very strong and I bet can last another decade — 15 days ago

Great Entry Level GSM. Dark and shiny ruby color. Black fruit aromas with hints of some baking spices. Black cherry on the pallet with a hint of almonds. Full bodied but smoothly textured. Remarkably consistent from vintage to vintage. Beautiful elegance and finesse at this price point. — 6 days ago
