Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1996

Delicious and lush berry fruit. Some dark plum, blackberry. Gnarly underbrush. This is lean and delicious and long. — 3 months ago

At last! At last I've opened my favorite chambolle musigny.
I couldn't help sipping on my tongue. Smoky aroma, concentrated fruity juicy flavor.

Olivier Minot

La Boutanche Beaujolais Red Gamay

Like a cherry starburst, but without too much sugar. It's fruity and light but finishes with a nice acidic, tannin experience. It's jammy and juicy and super light, making it flexible for any meal or season. — 11 days ago

Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2016

The 2nd wine in the Gevrey Chambertin 2016 Grand Cru lineup tasted blind. My original notes said some whole bunch in evidence , which later was partly right when the identity was revealed. Perrot Minot use whole berry maceration but the grapes are de stemmed. Red fruits predominate on the rich and powerful palate. Quite savoury (I thought coming from the stems) with medium tannins. I have little experience with this producer but Roscoe from Prince is a huge fan. Saying the structure and power comes from tiny yields, old vines and thick skins. — 8 months ago
