Haunting and classic nose. Elegant and gorgeous mid to late season cherries. Lifted and bright. Gorgeous depth, refinement and minerality. Superb juiciness and energy. Lovely acidity and depth. Treacly and ripe but so complex. I love this. A tick below the 19. Now the stoney minerality shows up on the nose as does the florals. Classic and beautiful. Saline. Unreal purity. Juicy and so complex with ripe and sweet tannins and wonderful sweet fruit. A bit young and tooti frooti but air will regulate it. That nose is so good and the the highlight so far. Superb length on the palate. — 7 hours ago
In southern Burgundy, at the northern border of Beaujolais, lies the Pouilly-Fuisse appellation. Pale lemon with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, melon and lemon citrus with notes of honey and vanilla oak. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity and ends with minerality. Consistent quality! Nice! Good value! — 9 days ago
Really stoney nose and lovely deep cherry liquor/compote but is belied by a sense of freshness. Wow the palate is just gorgeous. Amazing freshness and big red and sour cherries with a treacly texture. Super elegant and lithe. Wow the fruit on this is just incredible. Love the tanginess of the palate and the intense lift and high acid allied with bouncy sweet fruit. The nose has a lovey soil aroma now. Such a deep stoniness and also strawberry compote. So complex. A clear step up from the Trois Terroirs and Cuvee William. Terrific inner mouth fruit and energy. Just overflowing with fruits. But finished with cleansing minerals and just the right amount of opulence. This is fantastic. Really dense, yet light and mineral but also contemplative and that core of bright red fruits. A wine of contrasts. — 5 days ago
My man killed 2020. Slayed it like it was a dragon. Super nose of stone, dark red cherries, lovely earth character, some tweed jacket and all of this is presented like refined silk or velvet. Man what strides William has taken. Wow that is just the sexiest, velvet, sweet fruited Pommard one can imagine! This is so fresh, yet also lush and succulent. Wow. What texture and refinement. Williams’s tannin quality has improved so much from 19 to 20. They are so silky, sweet and finely knit. Nose starting to get more red cherries and some nice florals. He nailed this vintage. So energetic and juicy. Just so good. As it airs I’ll be back. Such freshness with air and it gets tangy. Terrific, invigorating Pommard. After 3 hours nose has dark florals. Palate is now elegant and has such deep echoing fruit. So rich yet so ethereal. Masterful. — 16 days ago
OMG nose. Great terroir cannot be fucked with. It cannot. Black opulent cherries, hint of sweet wood, floral, dark, brooding. This is the EMO vineyard of Pommard. Insane and intense minerality. What mineral lift. Stunning nose. 9.7? 9.8? I don’t know. But it’s up there. Elite. Elite. Concentrated and intense but oh so young. Faboosh complexity and juiciness. Fruit is extraordinary but also needs air to show its true self. Man what a stoney Rugiens. Nose now showing kirsch. But a black kirsch. Energetic and so delineated and what insane fruit and finesse. Super complex and light as a feather but also deep, contemplative and dense. Wow. Stunning. A tick below 19. — 7 hours ago
Getting ready to go to the dark (oxidative) side. But still quite nice — 16 days ago
What a deep stoney nose. Ripe black cherry fruit and a compote aspect. Dense, brooding and layered. Incredibly vivid fruit. A saline aspect as well. Gorgeous. Palate is stunning. Bright but dark fruits and amazing freshness. So sappy and pure and elegant. The elegance in the kid’s wines has really ramped up. Beautiful wispy yet velvety and sweet tannins but not too sweet. A raspberry coulis aspect and lip smacking freshness on the finish. I love the 2020’s here. Terrific inner mouth aromas and insane opulence. So juicy and energetic. The tannins are super high quality and the fruit is dark and opulent but just so perfect. Not overdone and owns its darkness and opulence. Silky and sweet and so long. A brilliant bottle. The fruit never quits on the finish even as it takes a detour for the minerals to express themselves. Almost a 9.6.
This has come alive after many hours. Nose is more integrated. Much more. Gorgeous raspberry and cherry. Wow. Palate is insanely juicy and fruit is more red. Sappy as all can be. Brilliant. — a day ago

This is the gran cru grenouilles. Had before, same great wine. Precise and focused. Lemon curd, tons of minerality, great acid. — 21 days ago
