Stoneridge Vineyard Syrah 2014

Big surprise! The scent was floral, violets and perhaps some green herbs. But the first sip… straight pipe tobacco laced by dark blue berry and unripe fig. Where was that jammyness we noticed a few years ago? It drank quite addictive, though. Complex and intriguing. — 9 days ago

Northridge Vineyard Barbera 2020

Cherry red, very good clarity. Cherry, red currant aromas, light cherry flavor. Slight seed bitterness in aftertaste. After an hour, wintergreen and a mild skin astringency emerge in the aftertaste. Just enough acidity. Those who dislike tannins should decant a couple of hours before serving — 7 days ago

Tzum Oak Ridge Columbia GorgeRed Blend 2020

High elevation pinot noir. Blackberries, wild strawberries, boysenberry, almost like smelling a berry soda without sweetness, there’s also bramble, flower perfume, leather on the nose. It’s crazy to smell. Palate is berries, more acidity, more leather and game, but a lot of berries and greenery. Definite alpine style. Really enjoyable. — 10 hours ago

Pinot Noir 2021

Really nice, concentrated cherry nose here... On the palate, this is more and deeper cherry finishing rather short. Clean throughout. I suppose that makes this fairly simple, but very enjoyable too. For what it's worth, this came alive when paired with beef jerky though with those same cherry notes. — 14 days ago

D2 Columbia Valley Merlot Blend 2019

This is a tasty Merlot based Bordeaux blend from Washington State.

Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with a nice mouthfeel.

Showing blue and black fruits with wood, earth, vegetables, spices, herbs, coffee and peppercorn.

Needs time to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years.

A blend of 60% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.

14.3% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$50.

Sette Coppa Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

On the nose, this is violet and blackberry concentrated... This nose is great... Is there some bramble in here too? On the palate, this enhances the blackberry... Deep, deep... Eucalyptus... Always such a great buy on the Naramata bench... The finish is medium, but really tasty here... I think that's a good way of describing this one... Tasty... There are levels of complexity for Bordeaux blends beyond this one, but really the deep dark fruit and bramble here are a double note that's really done well here! — 3 days ago

Crisp, vibrant, refreshing, delicious cider. Grapefruit sweetness is very balanced. One of my favourites from this cidery! — 17 days ago

Had this several days ago, but wanted to get it in my Delectable log. Really liked it. Remembered it as a rich, full bodied wine with great depth and evolving flavors from front to throat 😊. — 11 days ago

2020 vintage.
Weather was exceptional that summer in Okanagan Valley British Columbia.
Dark ruby colour with cherry, floral and earthy notes on the nose.
Ripe black cherry and berry flavours, dark cocoa, silky tannins and a crisp uplifting finish with a hint of citrus.
Put Sockeye Salmon on the BBQ with this Pinot Noir.

The Bear Premier Series Okanagan Valley Red Blend 2016

Phenomenal. Every other year I open one of these bottles from 2016 and the evolution keeps impressing me. On the nose, has a character of rainy ancient west coast forest. On the palate, Blackberry, blueberry, with hints of dark cherry. Blended perfectly with a rich, aged, leather. Hints of cedar wood, slightly smoked. Perfectly balanced. Only going to keep getting better over the next few years. — 5 days ago
