Saline strawberries with a beautiful bouquet. Medium weight and a slight effervescence. Holds up nicely with a juicy loaded cheeseburger. — 8 months ago
Like a delicate, flowery and acidic burgundy. Really quite nice. RIP Jim! — 13 days ago
Very balanced and appropriate for a range of foods and occasions. — a month ago
Quite uncharacteristic for sauv blanc but really good. Some honey, butter and structure. Drinking quite well at 7yo — 6 months ago
Last night I opened the 2017 Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County, California. It has been a little bit since I have had an Au Bon Climat from Jim Clendenen. Jim's work is always spot on and well worth what you pay.
On the nose there is cranberry, strawberry, cherry, anise, clove, spice and a nice earthiness.
On the palate there is cranberry, strawberry, cherry, caramel, herbal notes, red currant, light oak and that nice earthiness.
This wine is light to medium bodied with medium to medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that lead into a medium to medium long fresh fruit finish. Continued health to everyone. Please be safe and continue social distancing. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — a year ago

This is a magnum of Jim Clendenen’s 2001 Harmony estate-bottled Chardonnay, “Nuits-Blanches Au Bouge” from the Santa Maria Valley in Santa Barbara County. Bien Nacido and Le Bon Climat vineyards. If you aren’t familiar with Jim or his Au Bon Climat and Clendenen Family labels, you are in for a treat. — a year ago
