austrian pinot noir?
it smells sweet. it tastes tannic, sour, slightly funky. it has notes of black cherry, raspberry, vanilla and oak. this is an easy chillable red to drink.
i paired with pad thai. the juicy tannic flavors cut through the rich nuttiness of the pad thai. — 6 months ago
Weekend wine with parents continued. I didn’t have to think long when trying to decide what wine to bring for my short weekend visit. I picked Bacio Divino because it is always a crowd pleaser. The wine is described as being one that “Cabernet devotees as well as those who appreciate artful blends can enjoy.” I agree 💯. My mom describes this wine as being “delicious” — winner.
Bacio Divino is lead by the husband and wife team, Claus and Diane Janzen. This wine is their flagship wine that uses Cabernet sourced from Beckerstoff’s Heritage Oakville and Rutherford vineyards. The wine also includes a small amount of Sangiovese and Merlot.
2016 details: 94% Cabernet, 5% Sangiovese, 1% Merlot. 14.6% ABV. Kirk Venge is a consulting winemaker. 215 cases. — 2 years ago

Very mineralic at first. Blueberry's, pepper and a very mouthwatering acidity. With some air the fruity es will grow stronger, remarkably strong but never like jam. Always light, funky and with a touch of pepper and a hint of leather. A Zweigelt to remember. — 6 months ago
apricot, orange, golden apple skin, grapefruit, orange peel, prickly pear, sage, very salty! — 3 years ago
