Les Chatelots Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2014

Notes consistent with prior. Bright garnet, sappy and a bit astringent, red cherry, red currant, black plum, a bit of smoke, violets, would be great with grilled gamebird — 4 days ago

Les Athets Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir 2006

Good and elegant Chambolle-Musigny. Perhaps a little past its peak, since its cherry flavor was a little muted at this point. But still an elegant Pinot Noir that went well with duck. A bit expensive for its quality. — 5 days ago

Musigny Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2004

What s a nose. Intense roses, dark cherry, spice, black pepper. On the palate just delicious with a glossy, transparent mouthfeel. Intense but beautifully light and then really long. The nose on this is just beautiful and the wine is delicious. Wow. — a month ago

Fortunately none of that. It was on the leaner side but very beautiful

Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir 2017

Wow, incredible. Drinking very well, would be interesting to have again in a couple years with some age. Certainly oak, red cherry…complex, well integrated beautiful wine. — 12 days ago

Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir 2013

Medium dark robe, violettes, spices and some dark cherries. This is very elegant and complex, with great tension and if it shows some wood tannin its not intrusive. Truly excellent wine that begs to be drunk now but no rush. Enthusiastically recommended ! — a month ago

Les Fuées Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2013

I’m loving how the vintage is drinking, especially so from the top producers. Rousseau and Mugnier being my favorites. The 2013 Fuées is loaded with spice and violets and has such lovely purity of fruit that’s backed by a vibrant line of focused acidity and a cool mineral infusion. Excellent. — a month ago

Les Amoureuses Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1988

Wine has a beautiful medium dark ruby red gaining some brick hue on the border. Has always been taut and muscular and somewhat variable. This bottle oozed with great fruit, spices and flowers, and was truly excellent. Tanins are pronounced but there is enough fruit here to outlast them. Was a great bottle and we thoroughly enjoyed it. — 21 days ago

The nose on this is staggering. Deep blue fruit, pepper, spice, violets. Very lush and spring. Glycerin and smooth mouthfeel. Absolutely delicious. The end is a bit abrupt and dense but i suspect with time this will explode. Just delicious — a month ago
