Feral smelling but in the reductive way that Syrah can so easily become...if that makes sense. This characteristic softens with air and finds a groove after about 30min. Smells like a deli case with blue and black fruits and purple flowers. On the palate, powerful blue fruits herbs and spices. Big in the structure department too. There’s a whole lot to like here. I would love to revisit this in 10 years. — 4 days ago
The mouthfeel is a velvet glove. Just gorgeous and soft on the palate. Its hit a good phase & will still improve for another 7-10 years. Floral fruits with a raspberry heavy lean, blackberries, dark cherries, suppressed blackberries/black raspberries and a touch blue fruits. Soft graphite, used leather, dark rich soil, dry stone, crushed rock powder, fresh tobacco with brilliant florals that are purple, blue and framed in a field of violets. The acidity round & beautiful. The long elegant, well knitted & balance finish shows all the aged finesse & elegance that is classically Marqaux.

Dark ruby in color with a thin reddish rim.
On the nose blueberries, black plums, black cherries, sweet strawberries, licorice, vanilla, oak, chocolates, earth, dark coffee, light alcohol and pencil lead.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity. Bold yet elegant.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, chocolates, tobacco, dark coffee, light cedar, earth, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices, peppercorn and herbs.
Medium on the finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is an interesting Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Israel. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Feels more like a Right Bank Bordeaux, which is very interesting.
Still young, but already approachable, and showing good potential. A good quality wine, that would be nice to revisit in 5 years.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly, and remove some of the acidity.
Tangy and spicy. Rich, elegant and extracted. Very tasty.
Good by itself and better with food. Paired very nicely with Brie cheese.
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Petit verdot. Aged for 24 months in French Oak barrels. Kosher.
14% alcohol by volume.

Sud-Ouest tasting #7
Beautiful aromatics with baked lemons, apple pie, Mandarine peel... a sweet opening on the palate followed through with amazing juicy, citrus acidity and whiff of exotic spice... the balance is impeccable and the this fits perfectly both a foie gras as well as beautiful apple pie. A grand wine. — 6 days ago
