The 2020 Bellegrave is well-defined and poised on the nose, blackberry and briary, hints of truffle unfolding with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a graphite-infused entry. Quite solid and structured, almost like a "mini-Lafleur", with a well-defined and persistent finish that has splendid mineralité. Very fine. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2023) — 10 months ago
#dfwe2019 — 4 years ago
Blend of 85 % Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits and pepper spice. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and black cherry with cacao, espresso and spicy herbal notes. Lively acidity, firm tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cacao and spicy oak. — 2 months ago
Tasted blind. It was evident that this was mature Bordeaux at its finest quality level from an excellent vintage. The absence of brettanyomces and a right bank aroma profile pointed towards Lafleur or Petrus. Deliciously ripe and dried red fruits mingle with black truffle, cocoa powder, forest floor and cigar box. Gently caressing the palate, the 1970 Château Petrus delivers a full-body, velvety tannins, a core of dried red fruits and a long, lingering finish. Probably slightly past it's peak, but still spectacular. Drink now. — a year ago
The 2013 Lafleur has an almost Left Bank nose: tobacco and graphite scents misleading you towards perhaps Saint-Julien! At least there is decent freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, light for Lafleur but well-balanced with an attractive, harmonious and peppery finish. This Pomerol ends on a high note, though it will never be regarded as a "great Lafleur". Tasted at Bordeaux Index's 10-Year On tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2023)

This is one of the first few vintage of what is now known as Les Perrières de Lafleur. It has a clear frame of cabernet to it with the dark fruit, tobacco and leather notes. Round, medium bodied, balanced and punches above its price point. Drinks excellent now. — 2 years ago

Pyrazene, just ripe black cassis, mint and ash, deep lavender leaf, soft & smooth & round. Creamy vanilla on the finish. Very structured - grippy tannins on the finish too — 21 days ago
