Notes from Mia Klein:
The 2005 vintage gave ample rain in the winter, charging up the soil water profile for a very nice growing season. Temperatures were moderate and consistent from early spring through October. Both the mature, established Cabernet Sauvignon vines and the now five year old Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petite Verdot vines produced some wonderful juice.

A blend of 68% Cab Sauv, 20% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 2% Cab Franc, dark Ruby with aromas of ripe dark red fruits, cigar-box spice, floral and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with notes of licorice, pepper, vanilla and toasty spice. Fine tannins, integrating well with oak, good overall balance, long finish ending with fruit, floral and sweet oak. Great now, still has long aging potential left! — 12 days ago
Terrific St Estephe - very masculine wine with a brooding intensity that builds each hour after decanting. The bouquet takes a bit of time to develop but has beautiful dark fruits, tobacco and leather. Plush tannins sit heavy on the palate with more dark fruits and leather with a long finish. A very big wine that seems like it’s just at the start of its drinking window. — 12 days ago
A blend of 88% Cab Sauv, 7% Cab Franc & 5% Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new French oak, limiting oak extraction, dark Ruby, purple hues, with aromas of dark currant-like berries, tobacco and cedar. On the palate ripe blackberry, black cherry and cassis with vanilla, cacao and espresso. Well balanced, fine soft integrated tannins, long finish ending with floral, fruit, mineral and earthy character. Needs a few more in the bottle but will last beyond the decade. — 12 days ago
