2013 Very nice balance of acid and fruit. A very pleasant drink which warms the soul. No food needed here. If you’re looking for a big overpowering wine, look elsewhere. — 7 years ago
2009 vintage is spot on. Don't be fooled by the 15% ABV. Soft, supple and everything a Dolcetto should be. — 9 years ago
My father in law picked up this gem in Lisbon in 1997 when I snagged a 1994 Fonseca Vintage port. He was looking to spend a more modest amount on a Port to bring home. WOW, what a find. Tawny in structure and color. Well balanced and just a great all around port. — a year ago
2017 vintage. Firm acid, nose is caramel, roasted marshmallows. Front palate is honeysuckle, back palate is dry, acidic and cleansing. Wonderful Rhone blend. — 3 years ago
2012 vintage brings a well balanced, sophisticated wine. Hints of honey and caramelized pineapple on the nose. Initial oak is present and well balanced. Silky and smooth, lingering on the finish. — 9 years ago
Magnum bottle. No sediment but still wonderful fruit. Bright dark Cherry, hint of cassis. Easy cocktail wine. — 2 years ago
Great surprise. Well balanced, medium acidity, easy to pair with robust dishes and even scallops and kale. — 3 years ago
This wine has so much unrealized potential it’s crazy. Huge depth in the fruit. Dark berries and dark stone fruit with tannins to last a good long while. The 2012 will really begin to shine in a couple of years yet it’s drinking well now with a bit of time in the glass. — 7 years ago
Absolutely one of the best Cabs you'll fine from Paso. Incredibly full bodied, dark rich fruit and very soft and supple tannins Stacks up to the best from Napa and Sonoma. — 9 years ago

Lots of eucalyptus at opening. 15 mins in it begins to settle in. Leather, mushroom on the nose with the ever present eucalyptus. Really well structure fruit on the palette, a tinge of acidity and a bit sharp on the finish. More time in the glass brings a balance that’s amazing for a 39 year old wine. Thankfully no one here to share!
