Medium ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cranberry, pepper, plum, toast, and vanilla. Medium-plus body; firm, medium-plus tannins and refreshing, medium-plus acidity. An rich, ripe bouquet of fruit and spice; a soft, well-integrated mouthfeel; and an easygoing finish (with a little heat on the backend). A solid, everyday wine. Blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (30%), Carignan (10%), and Mourvedre (10%). — 25 days ago

Surprisingly fruity (raspberry, cherry) and not as full bodied as I would have expected. A bit bitter, noticeable but smooth tannins. Good but it opened up less than I expected. — 4 months ago
Dry and crisp. Love this stuff. From Lou. — 4 months ago
Nose has moist leather, blackberry jam, grilled red pepper, dried blueberry, dry cedar shavings, dried black cherry, dried rose and dry gravel.
Palate has dried blackberry, dried blueberry, sauted red pepper, minor cedar box, Cuban cigar, ripe plum, lingering acidity and mild tannins. Overall in a quite nice spot this evening.
Perfect pair to homemade burgers from a local farmer in Columbia Co. NY (Kinderhook Farm), cooked to a beautiful medium-rare served on toasted brioche burger rolls. Topped with the first harvest of our heirloom lettuces, it was a cool 44°F this morning so ideal timing to trim lettuce in the cold frame today. Home grown tomato topping will have to wait until August. 🤷♂️
Decanted 6h+ and doing just fine. Last bottle displayed heavy green pepper and herbal notes, not this bottle, more to our expectations. Can continue to hold/evolve another 6-10+ in proper storage.
