Yarden Galilee Chardonnay 2021

The 2021 Yarden Chardonnay has a lemony nose with orange peel and pear notes, and minerality that beats out butter. It smells almost unoaked. On the palate, the citrus is out front again, with an even stronger lean into the minerals. Acidity is fresh and zesty. Oak is not a problem in this very enjoyable wine. — 4 months ago

Estate Eola - Amity Hills Chardonnay 2019

On the fruit forward tropical side but with some matchstick reduction. Textural. This will probably be very good in 2-3 years. — 3 months ago

QPR for Bethel Heights is solid, always enjoyed their wines.

Yarden Mount Hermon Red Blend 2022

This wine is medium dark in the glass. It has a nose which puts ripe fruit up front, with cherry, raspberry and red currant dominating. Some spice rack is present, but oaky notes are not overwhelming here. Earthiness comes on in a co-starring role, however. Red fruit is the leader on the palate, too. There is a bit more oak influence in the flavor profile, but not to a great degree. Earth and mineral notes support the fresh, fruity aspect of the wine. Tannins are medium firm and the wine is very tasty and drinkable. — 4 months ago

Yarden Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Pale Lemon in color.

Very aromatic nose with lots of gooseberry and citrus notes.

Medium in body with medium plus acidity.

Fruit forward with mild complexity.

Dry on the palate, crisp and refreshing.

Showing limes, citrus, light grapefruits, green apples light herbs, minerals and spices.

Tangy finish with limes and light almonds.

This Israeli Sauvignon Blanc is nicely balanced and enjoyable by itself. Easy drinking, tangy and a little bit spicy. Fresh and fruit forward.

I've had a few vintages of this Sauvignon Blanc before, and it is very consistent.

A great party wine, and good for the pool too.

Grapes are grown in the Golan Heights region. Kosher.

13% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$20.

Isaac's Ram Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

A little green. I would have guessed this to be a Cab Franc if tasted blind. — 3 months ago

Estate Grown Eola - Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2021

I really liked this Pinot. More RRV like than it was Eola-Amity like. Loads of front fruit with cherry and red berries. I liked the energy in this wine. Would definitely buy again. — 4 months ago

Gilgal Galilee Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

This is a very dark wine, almost no light gets through a glassful of it. On the nose there is a complex set of aromas. Dark fruit - blackberry, cassis, blueberry - are met with savory support from the oak. Clove, baseball glove, tobacco, earth and black pepper all play a role in the sniff. The palate is a real discovery - as dark as you like it, with firm tannins and a long finish. In California terms, the shadings are a little more like Paso than Napa - a bit rambunctious and chalky as opposed to silky and demure. In fact, the wine could have convinced me that it was a Syrah, not a Cab, had I been blind tasting it. It’s a wonderful wine that screams for a big, beautiful steak to go with it. — 5 months ago
