Slightly turpentine, a little salty, lovely. New Years with Matt and Cara — 3 years ago
The 2008 BdB Pol Roger has apples and lemon, and some Christmas stuffing characteristics too. Very open and inviting.
Bringing in the New Year quietly but happily, having spent the latter part of the day hanging art while a stew slowly cooked. Cara is 7+ months along so not really holding her own when it comes to Champagne, or any wine for that matter. Extra glasses for me... — 4 years ago

1/19. My kind of Pinot. Bold and full of flavor. Thanks Cara. — 4 years ago
Big wine. Lots of citrus, various citrus fruits entire, lemons especially and tart small oranges, cara cara oranges. Needs some air, let’s see how that grows. Big spice on the finish. Flowers, like Lilly and slight lavender. It’s a powerful nose, maybe somewhat unresolved, I have to see how it plays out. After some air lots of saffron and some plastic water bottle on the nose that grows. Beeswax. Honeysuckle. Lots of acid. Tons of acid. Needs some time I think. — 2 years ago
Nose with chalky mineralogy but also distinctly of earth - like potting soil. diChalk on the nose as well as CM spice. Less chalk on the slate which features full bodied cara cara orange wrapped in a liquid of exotic spices along with more notes of earth and some bitter almond. Some toasted oak nuances but mostly integrated. Fantastic! — 3 years ago
