For me this was the #wine of the night at the #Escoffier dinner at #WeingutKeller... And in a double #magnum it could not have been better in terms of freshness and complexity. Here's the Big Daddy of the #EmrichSchönleber estate and as one taster recently commented..."like liquid rocks" due to the high #slate content in the vineyard, which gives the wine its distinctive #mineral character. This vineyard has been in the #Keller family since 1789 (think French Revolution!)... rich, creamy mouth feel with a fine core of ripe acidity, awesome structure, mouth-filling... a classic, beautifully balanced #Hubacker. A sleeping giant just waiting to blossom!
