Weingut Clemens Busch
Marienburg Falkenlay Erst Lage Grosses Gewächs Riesling
Cerebral #wine from the #Mosel's pioneer of organic farming (going back to 1984) #Busch lets his wines create their own destinies by allowing them to ferment freely with long periods on the lees, giving these unique #Rieslings profound complexity and exotic aromas.

Jan 26th, 2017Also situated in the central slope along the Marienburg and is produced from, on average, 65 year-old vines that yield lovely Rieslings of great complexity and longevity. #2012 was one of the "easiest" harvests in recent years and the resultant wines were distinctly #fresh, #fruity and very attractively balanced--a classic #Mosel vintage! #ClemensBusch #Falkenlay #GrossesGewächs #Riesling

Aug 18th, 2016The most powerful Mosel I've ever had, this took about an hour to show itself, and then it had complex and exotic notes of white peach, lemon, lime, honeydew, pineapple, mango, and even passion fruit, with a slight mineral savoriness hat was like mineral bubbly water. I'd love to follow this for a few decades! Uncommonly good pairing with fermented yuzu ribeye at the progress.
