Estate Dopp Creek Pinot Noir 2017

My first taste of the 2017 vintage. Showing beautifully in youth. Sappy red fruit out front with firm acidic structure to add brightness and freshness. Shows plenty of power and will be a great wine for years to come. Paired with one of the excellent volumes from Tompkins Square showcasing American acoustic guitarists. The “private press” showcased here are largely unknown & obscure players from the 60s to the 80s. Excellent & approachable just like this wine. — 13 days ago

What a lovely Pinot from Willamette. Funky nose, but delivery your expected Pinot barnyard experience. — 22 days ago

Ohligsberg Riesling Spätlese 2015

Lyle Fass

Great wine. Too bad I’m not working with him anymore but his wines did not fit sadly. There is too much great wine in Germany. A dilemma. Glorious nose of slate, pear, apple, some vulcanized rubber, very clean and pure. Palate is crystal clean with dazzling purity and freshness. So deep and so textured. Clean as a whistle. Really juicy and loads of acid. Complex as all can be. Wow. Really gorgeous. — a month ago

Donau Wagram Grüner Veltliner 2017

For the price this is definitely a nine... rich, clean acids, tiny touch of lychee sweetness up front for a second. — 2 months ago
