No shrinking violet this is, Very red peach on the nose, apricots, fleshy fruited.
Lots of minerals, earthy, clay, red flowers, granted, we’re having it alongside Andouille sausages and red beans & rice. So there is that.
Mostly Mourvèdre (40%)remainder cinsault, Grenache, carignan,
Always nice

Opened very slowly. Little sediment and only light staining on the cork. This was without signature for the first 30 minutes. Very slight cherry and tar notes. Pleasant but nothing much evident. After 2 hours of decanting it opened and was more resonant but it never exceeded “generally nice”. Nothing was amiss but nothing zoomed or was special. Finish was not particularly long. Tannins were mellow. Bouquet was modest but somewhat inviting. Color was pale with orange rim. This was an auction purchase. — a year ago
