Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1995

1995 vintage. Good fill. Excellent cork with minimal saturation. Decanted and throwing a tad extra sediment…a nice mix of chunky and powdery sed. Tasted after 30 minutes and 2 hours open and decanted. Light-medium body. Dark cherry and earth in the nose. These transferred over and slapped on a fudge chocolate note on the finish. In a good place now and not improving. Would seem to hold steady in this standing for another 3-4 years. 6.6.24. — 6 months ago

Château Cos d'Estournel

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Great structure, complex and delicious. Could still use a few more years of ageing but not complaining - it is a Cos afterall. — 7 months ago

Azienda Agricola Fontodi

Flaccianello della Pieve Colli Toscana Centrale Sangiovese 2016

Needed a full 2 hr decant from dbl Mag but boy-oh-boy was this awesome. Sour cherry and iodine, saddle leather on the nose, classic Sangiovese palate turned smooth as silk. Many years to go but 🔥🔥🔥 right now. — 7 months ago

Damis Riserva Cirò Gaglioppo 2015

A real live wire act. Perfectly balanced on the razors edge between fruit stone and acidity. — 7 months ago

Château Léoville Poyferré

Saint Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

This wine was singing tonight. Absolutely gorgeous nose. The fruit was ripe and so well integrated with minerality and a great mouthfeel. Was wonderful with some wagyu steaks. — 7 months ago

Chateau Montelena

The Montelena Estate Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Medium to full bodied with nicely balanced tannins and acid, this wine was very drinkable but still young and could be held for many more years. More sediment than I expected with flavors of cherries, mocha, and eucalyptus. — 7 months ago
